US coalition aircraft violate Syrian airspace 12 times overnight
The aviation of the international coalition led by the United States breached Syrian airspace in the Al-Tanf region 12 times over the course of a day, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasjuk, Deputy Head of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, stated, "In the Al-Tanf area, 12 violations of Syrian airspace regulations by coalition aviation were recorded within a day: two pairs of F-15 fighters (twice) and a pair of F/A-18 fighters (twice)."
He also noted that the coalition committed seven violations of the deconfliction protocols established on December 9, 2019, due to unauthorized drone flights not coordinated with the Russian side.
Additionally, Ignasjuk reported that the Reconciliation Center conducted a humanitarian aid operation in Latakia, distributing 500 food packages totalling 5 tonnes.
