US envoy describes talks with Russian counterpart as productive on Ukraine
US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, described meetings in Miami with the Russian president's special envoy for investment and economic cooperation, Kirill Dmitriev, on resolving the Ukraine crisis as productive.

“We are encouraged by this meeting that Russia is working toward securing peace in Ukraine and and is grateful for US President's critical leadership in seeking a durable and lasting peace,” the statement added.
The American delegation included, in addition to Witkoff, entrepreneur and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and White House senior advisor Josh Gruenbaum.
