US legislators eye talks with Russia on peace and trade

A delegation of U.S. lawmakers is planning to visit Russia in the autumn or winter of 2026, U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna said, according to remarks carried by TASS.

Luna said the precise timing of the visit has not been disclosed due to security considerations.

“A group [of U.S. lawmakers] will arrive in the period autumn–winter of this year... At present, we are still working on the list of participants,” she said.

She added that a “sufficient number” of American legislators is expected to take part in the trip. During the visit, members of Congress plan to hold talks with Russian counterparts on issues including a peaceful settlement, trade, and the restoration of bilateral relations.
