US offers $3 million reward for info on Iraq embassy attacks
US federal authorities are offering a reward of up to $3 million for information related to attacks on American diplomatic facilities in Iraq.
The State Department’s Rewards for Justice program announced the initiative on social media on Wednesday, calling for assistance in preventing further incidents targeting US missions.
“If you have information on Iranian-aligned terrorist militia groups or others responsible for these attacks, send us your tips today,” officials said, adding that the effort is aimed at stopping “terrorist attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and elsewhere.”

The announcement follows a series of incidents involving US interests in Iraq. Several media outlets previously reported that the US Embassy in Baghdad was hit by a missile in mid-March, although no injuries were recorded.
Iran has carried out multiple attacks on US-linked targets in Iraq since the conflict between the United States and Iran began on February 28.
In response to escalating tensions, the US government had earlier ordered its citizens and diplomatic personnel across the Middle East to evacuate the region.
