US president pledges over $1 trillion for military in 2026
US President Donald Trump announced plans to spend over $1 trillion on the military in 2026.
Speaking at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico near Washington, D.C., he emphasised that this unprecedented investment aims to maintain and enhance US military capabilities, Caliber.Az reports.
“I've committed to spending over $1 trillion on our military in 2026. And that's the most in the history of our country. $1 trillion. That's a lot of money,” he noted.
Moreover, the US president highlighted the need for faster production of military equipment, including F-35 jets and the new F47 model.
“We make the best equipment in the world, but they got to make it faster. We have orders for the F-35. We have orders for everything. The new F47, we have orders for everything. They got to make it faster. A lot faster. Ammunition, they have to make faster,” he added.
