US signals possible lift of Russian oil sanctions after Ukraine war VIDEO

Sanctions on Russian oil could be removed once the war in Ukraine ends, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated.

Speaking at Fox News, he explained that resolving the conflict, stabilising Venezuela, and normalising the situation with Iran would help lower global oil prices, Caliber.Az reports.

"And then with the peace deals, I think we could see substantial decreases in the oil price with Venezuela, Iran, and if Russia, Ukraine get solved, that's a lot more oil that gets unsanctioned by the Treasury, that can go into the market. And nothing helps consumers more than lower energy prices," Bessent emphasised.
