US to impose stricter sanctions on Iran
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that the US administration plans to tighten sanctions against Iran due to suspicions of military-technical cooperation with Russia.
Blinken made these remarks during a joint press conference with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy in London, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"We have recently shared data with our allies and partners confirming these conclusions regarding the development of military-technical cooperation between Iran and Russia. We have worked together to ensure significant economic consequences for Tehran due to its actions. Later today, the US will announce new sanctions against Iran, including additional measures targeting Iran Air," Blinken stated.
Moscow and Tehran have repeatedly denied allegations of supplying Iranian weapons to Russia for use in Ukraine.
