US withdraws last military convoy from Kasrak base in Syria VIDEO
The final military convoy of the US-led international coalition has reportedly left the Kasrak base in Syria’s north-eastern al-Hasakah province, according to Syrian media reports.
The North Press Agency said the withdrawal marks the departure of the last US-led coalition forces from the site.
It also published footage said to show US military vehicles leaving the base and Syrian troops entering the area.
Following the reports, Syria’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that Syrian army units had been deployed to the base.
If verified, the development could signal the end of the United States’ ground military presence at the facility and potentially a broader drawdown of US forces in parts of Syria, where American troops have been stationed for years as part of operations against ISIS.
Neither US Central Command nor coalition officials have immediately commented on the reports.
