Uzbekistan, Japan discuss new investment projects

Uzbekistan and Japan have discussed expanding investment cooperation and advancing new joint projects during a meeting between Uzbek Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasymov and Ryūji Suzuki, president of the Japanese company Proud Partners.

Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade said the talks focused on attracting Japanese investment to the banking and financial sector, real estate, tourism, and infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.

The sides also discussed the further development of the Uzbekistan Proud Academy training centre, established by Proud Partners in Angren.

In addition, the meeting covered joint projects in vocational training and labour mobility, Japanese investors' participation in the privatisation of state assets, and financing for promising investment initiatives.
