Uzbekistan's president to visit Baku for WUF13 participation

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Baku on May 17–18 at the invitation of Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, according to the Uzbek presidential press service.

Mirziyoyev is expected to attend and address the Leaders’ Summit of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), held under the auspices of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme UN-Habitat.

The forum is dedicated to issues of sustainable urban development, provision of affordable housing, improvement of urban living standards, climate resilience, and the enhancement of housing finance mechanisms.

During the visit, a series of meetings and negotiations with heads of foreign delegations are also planned.
