Uzbekistan’s delegation explores Azerbaijan's VAT administration practices
Representatives of Uzbekistan's State Tax Committee have viewed the practices of Azerbaijan's State Tax Service.
Head of Azerbaijan's State Tax Service Orkhan Nazarli met with a delegation led by Head of Uzbekistan's State Tax Committee Firdevs Mahmudov, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The two sides emphasised that the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations are at a high level, with the successful implementation of signed agreements contributing significantly to the expansion of bilateral economic ties.
During the meeting, various topics were discussed, including Azerbaijan's experience in VAT administration and the results achieved in this sphere. During the three-day visit, the guests would have the opportunity to explore in detail VAT administration, VAT deposit accounts, the VAT refund project, and legislative measures taken to regulate these issues.
Earlier, a meeting was held between Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Dilshoda Rasulova and Chairman of the Board of the Economic Scientific Research Institute under the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry Shahin Sadigov.
The sides discussed increasing mutual trade turnover and attracting investments on November 5, 2024.
The strengthening of the trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, increasing the bilateral trade turnover volume, and encouraging foreign investments were discussed.
