Uzbekistan to discuss exporters' problems after attacks on Wildberries

06 August 2026 13:59

Uzbekistan's authorities will hold a separate meeting to address problems faced by local exporters following attacks on Wildberries' warehouse infrastructure in Russia.

The announcement was made during an open dialogue between the Government Commission and entrepreneurs in the Khorezm region, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.

A representative of the textile industry said damage to the logistics facilities had disrupted deliveries and reduced exports.

The company, which employs 300 people, previously exported goods worth $3 million annually but now also faces the risk of accumulating accounts receivable.

Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev remarked that he had already discussed the situation with Wildberries' management.

A separate meeting with company representatives is scheduled for Friday, August 7, after which the authorities plan to develop a comprehensive solution.

Officials from the Central Bank and the Cabinet of Ministers have also been instructed to examine the issue of potential outstanding debts.

Earlier, Uzbekistan announced plans to establish Central Asia's largest logistics hub to help local manufacturers expand exports to international markets.
