Vice President JD Vance says US-Iran differences remain irreconcilable
US Vice President JD Vance has stated the dispute between Washington and Tehran remains too deep to overcome, signalling a lack of progress in ongoing negotiations.
While speaking to reporters, JD Vance said the two sides have failed to reach an agreement so far.
“The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement. And I think that's bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the United States of America,” Vance noted.
He declined to provide detailed comments following the talks but reiterated that the White House’s key objective remains preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
The negotiations took place in Islamabad and lasted more than 20 hours. No photos or video recordings were made during the meeting. Senior officials from the two countries met in person for the first time since 1979.
