World Bank to grant $10 million to Ukraine for healthcare
Kyiv will receive additional support from the World Bank in the form of a $10 million grant for healthcare.
The relevant agreement was signed by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health Viktor Liashko and the World Bank regional director for Eastern Europe Arup Banerji, according to TASS with reference to the government portal of Ukraine.
"Half of the grant funds Ukraine will be used to provide rehabilitation and mental health services, another $5 million will be used to rebuild health facilities damaged in the fighting," Liashko said on the government portal.
Earlier, the head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada Danylo Hetmantsev reported that since February 2022, Kyiv has received $50 billion in aid, about 40 per cent of which are grants, the rest - loans on concessional terms.
In total, over the next four years, the EU and the G7 countries have pledged $115 billion to Kyiv, of which the IMF must allocate $15.6 billion ($2.7 billion has already been allocated).
