On the morning of December 23, an alarm siren was heard at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Azerbaijan's capital Baku due to the emergency landing of a Qantas Airways aircraft.
An Airbus A380 aircraft operated by the Australian flag carrier on the Singapore-London route made an emergency landing at Baku airport due to smoke in the cargo department, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Baku airport.
The plane landed successfully at 07:08 Baku time with 356 passengers on board. No report came about casualties.
After the alarm at the Baku airport, all emergency services were put on high alert.
Currently, the aircraft is being inspected and necessary measures are being organized to establish the causes of the accident.
Note that the Airbus A380 is the largest serial airliner in the world.
