Yerevan reiterates efforts to maintain healthy relations with Russia

Armenia will continue to pursue the development of healthy, partnership-based relations with Russia, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said.

Mirzoyan made the remarks during an election campaign while on leave, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

He rejected claims that Armenia’s authorities have damaged relations with Moscow, describing such assertions as “at the very least, unfair.”

“Yerevan has made, is making, and intends to continue making concerted efforts to build normal, partnership-based, and constructive relations… This does not mean that our foreign policy will be exclusively focused on this direction. We have articulated our approach — a balanced foreign policy. Yes, we seek to diversify both our economic and political ties,” the minister said.

He further emphasized that diversification does not imply prioritizing one direction at the expense of another.
