Members of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG have kidnapped five people in Aleppo province in Northern Syria.
The incident took place during a terrorist raid near the Sheikh Maqsut and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods occupied by the group, Caliber.Az reports, citing Anadolu.
The fate of the abducted men is still unknown.
The PKK/YPG terrorist organization continues its occupation of the Sheikh Maqsut and Ashrafiyah districts, north of the administrative center of Aleppo province of the same name.
The PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) and its Syrian affiliate, the YPG (People's Defense Units), have been implicated in the abduction and forced recruitment of minors in Syria, a practice that violates international law. Since the beginning of 2024, reports have documented the kidnapping of over 35 children from regions including Aleppo, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Hasakah. These children are often isolated from their families and subjected to armed training in camps.
