Zelenskyy’s office clarifies Abu Dhabi trilateral talks status

Ukraine’s Presidential Office said reports that negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the US in Abu Dhabi had already begun are premature.

Presidential Communications Advisor Dmytro Lytvyn stated that some teams were already on site, so certain issues might already be under discussion, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.

He added that these are discussions involving “informal” participants, meaning various representatives, and therefore the meeting should not be seen as a standard political event taking place within a strictly defined framework. 

Earlier, Sky News had reported the start of trilateral talks.
