Zelenskyy: Meeting Putin in Moscow “not an option”
16 June 2026 17:01
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ruled out travelling to Moscow for any future talks on a potential settlement to the war in Ukraine, saying any negotiations should take place in a neutral third country.
Speaking to journalists in remarks broadcast by Novini Live, Zelenskyy said Ukraine would not “play such games” and insisted that meetings must be held outside both Ukraine and Russia.
He added that he would not meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow under any circumstances.
Instead, he suggested that possible venues for talks could include Türkiye, Switzerland, or countries in the Middle East.
