Zelenskyy ready to make deal on Ukraine settlement, says Trump
US President Donald Trump stated that the terms of a potential settlement in Ukraine are known and that Kyiv is ready to reach an agreement.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump noted that during his meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Davos, the Ukrainian leader expressed his desire to make a deal, Caliber.Az reports.
“He [Volodymyr Zelenskyy] said he'd like to make a deal. I mean, you know, there's not much he can say. People know the parameters. It's not like, you know, we're discussing things that have been discussed for six or seven months, and he came, and he said he wants to make a deal because I wasn't necessarily sure. I think he should want to make a deal. It's pretty tough. It's really tough on the people of Ukraine,” Trump said.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin also wants to achieve a settlement of the conflict.
