Zelenskyy reveals new details on 1,400 km Flamingo missile strike on Russian factory video

25 February 2026 17:29

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has disclosed new details about a recent strike on a Russian military production site deep inside the country with the domestically produced “Flamingo” missiles.

He confirmed that Ukraine had carried out precise missile strikes at a distance of 1,400 kilometres deep inside Russian territory, Caliber.Az reports citing Ukrainian media.

Speaking during a joint press conference in Kyiv with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, he labelled the attack on the Votkinsk plant in Russia’s Udmurt Republic as "successful", but declined to specify how many missiles were launched at the plant.

“I will only say this: there were interceptions by Russian air defence systems, there were missiles that were not intercepted, and there were precise hits, but the most important thing is that all the missiles that were launched reached the target. And I believe that is the main success. In other words, we are talking about high quality, a well-executed operation and accuracy. I am grateful for this,” Zelenskyy emphasised.

According to the president, Russian forces were “hunting” for the production facilities of the “Flamingo” missiles across Ukraine. Zelenskyy noted that the missile production chain had to be restored after Russian strikes on manufacturing facilities, adding that Ukraine was now increasing output as much as finances and the availability of components allow.
