Zelenskyy: Russia ignoring ceasefire, attacks continue
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia has made no attempt to observe the ceasefire and continues to carry out attacks along the frontline.
In a statement posted on his Telegram channel, Zelenskyy said Russian forces maintained strikes overnight, with more than 140 attacks recorded on Ukrainian positions by 7 a.m.
“Over the past night, the Russian army continued to strike Ukrainian positions. As of 7 a.m., more than 140 attacks on positions along the front had already been recorded. During the night, the Russians carried out 10 assault actions, the largest number on the Sloviansk direction. More than 850 drone strikes of various types were also carried out: FPV, ‘Lancet’ and others. There were also strike drones. The use of reconnaissance drones in the skies over frontline settlements did not stop.
All of this clearly indicates that there was not even an imitative attempt by Russia to cease fire on the front. As with the results of the previous day, based on today’s outcome, Ukraine will act symmetrically. We will defend our positions and the lives of our people. Russia must end its war, and everyone will truly notice this when movement toward peace begins,” the Ukrainian leader wrote.
