Zelenskyy says Russian overnight attacks on Ukraine claim six lives

25 November 2025 12:34

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated Russia’s attacks on multiple Ukrainian regions during the night of November 24 to 25 have so far resulted in six deaths and thirteen injuries, Caliber.Az cites his Telegram post.

“Currently, our rescue teams are working at the sites of Russian strikes in Kyiv. The main attack last night targeted the capital and the surrounding region, with numerous residential buildings and civilian infrastructure damaged,” the president said.

The strikes also hit the Odesa region, damaging ports, food storage, and other infrastructure, though they “had no military significance.” Other affected regions included Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy.

The president emphasised that the main targets of the Russian attacks were energy facilities and essential infrastructure supporting normal civilian life. In total, Russia launched 22 missiles of various types, including aeroballistic missiles, and over 460 drones, most of which were Russian-Iranian Shahed drones. Four drones crossed into the territories of Moldova and Romania.

Zelenskyy highlighted the importance of coordinated international support, including arms supplies, air defence systems, and sanctions against Russia. “There can be no pause in assistance. The key now is for all partners to work together toward diplomacy. Pressure on Russia must succeed,” he said.

He thanked all partner countries for supporting Ukraine and called for continued joint efforts to end Russian aggression.
