Zelenskyy says Ukraine coordinating US visits, POW exchanges with Washington
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine is coordinating the schedule of upcoming visits and exchanging information on prisoners of war with the United States, following talks held in Washington by Ukraine’s chief negotiator Rustem Umerov.
Sharing a post on his Telegram channel, he said the discussions were “substantive,” Caliber.Az reports.
He made it clear that both sides are aligning the timing of necessary visits and expect representatives of the US president to visit Kyiv around late spring or early summer.
According to him, humanitarian issues, including continued prisoner exchanges, were also discussed.
Zelenskyy added that both sides are refining agreements aimed at ensuring security and stressed the importance of maintaining constructive dialogue to move toward peace while strengthening Ukraine and bilateral relations with the United States.
