Zelenskyy sets conditions for meeting Trump at Davos
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that any meeting with the US side at the World Economic Forum in Davos must produce concrete results aimed at supporting Ukraine.
Speaking to journalists online, Zelenskyy explained that he remains in Kyiv to oversee measures to strengthen heating and energy systems in several regions, Caliber.Az reports per Ukrainian media.
He added: “If our teams confirm progress, then the meeting will take place. Our discussions with the US have always concluded with tangible outcomes. Naturally, meetings with America should result in concrete measures to reinforce Ukraine or advance the end of the war. If the necessary documents are ready, we will meet.”
Zelenskyy’s appearance at the forum was cancelled after a nighttime missile attack in Kyiv forced him to remain in the capital.
For that reason, the planned signing of the so-called “prosperity plan” between Zelenskyy and Trump in Davos was scrapped.
