Zelenskyy: Ukraine preparing new deep strikes inside Russia
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are preparing to carry out new strikes deep into the territory of the aggressor state, Russia. The necessary means have already been prepared.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Facebook following a briefing from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Caliber.Az reports.
"We thoroughly analysed the situation in the Zaporizhzhia sector and the occupier’s intentions, as well as the situation in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. We will continue our active actions exactly as needed to defend Ukraine. Forces and resources have been prepared. New deep strikes have also been planned," Zelenskyy stressed.
According to the president, Syrskyi’s briefing primarily concerned the Pokrovsk sector, where the Russian army is concentrating its greatest efforts — and suffering its heaviest losses.
"Our units continue to carry out specific missions in Donetsk region and are methodically destroying the occupier. Across the entire front, in just eight months of this year, the Russians have lost more than 290,000 soldiers killed and severely wounded. Their greatest losses were in Donetsk region, where they failed to achieve any of their strategic objectives. On some sections of the front, our stabilisation measures are still ongoing," Zelenskyy said.
He expressed gratitude to every unit that contributes to replenishing Ukraine’s 'exchange fund,' noting that results are achieved every week.
