Zelenskyy: Ukrainian strike hit military vessel in Caspian Sea
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Kyiv has carried out a series of long-range strikes against targets deep inside Russia, including a military vessel in the Caspian Sea.
In a statement posted on his Telegram channel, Zelenskyy said the operations were part of Ukraine’s ongoing response to Russian attacks.
“This is again an enterprise in Kirov, from where components are supplied for the means by which Russia carries out its strikes against our people. The distance from the state border of Ukraine is about 1,200 kilometres. Also an oil refinery in Tyumen, a logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, a fuel and lubricants depot in Rostov-on-Don,” he said.
Zelenskyy added that Ukrainian forces had also achieved results in maritime operations.
“We also have very good results from long-range strikes in the waters of the Caspian Sea. In particular, these are vessels involved in the transportation of military cargo with Iran, and a military ship,” he said.
