Medvedev warns Israel that weapon delivery to Ukraine will destroy ties with Russia
Deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev cautioned Israel not to deliver weapons to Ukraine, referring to such an act as “ill-advised” which could destroy Russian-Israelian ties.
"It seems like Israel is about to send weapons to the regime in Kyiv. That is a very ill-advised step. It will destroy all inter-governmental ties between our countries", he noted on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, the Minister for Diaspora Affairs of Israel, Nachman Shai, made an appeal to send military assistance to Ukraine, which was a reaction to an article by the Washington Post (WP) reporting on Iran’s intentions to provide ballistic missiles to Russia.
The WP reported in August, that Russia had received a shipment of Iranian-made military drones, which is being denied by both Moscow and Teheran. Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian continues to assure that Iran supports neither side of the conflict.
As Caliber.Az reported on October 16, the Ukrainian Air Force has announced that they have shot down more than 100 Iranian-manufactured kamikaze drones, namely the Shahed-136.
