Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss resumption of passenger rail service

Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov and Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili held a meeting in Tbilisi to discuss the potential restoration of passenger railway service between the two countries.

Both sides reaffirmed the strategic importance of re-establishing cross-border rail connectivity during the talks, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The meeting comes shortly after Minister Kvrivishvili’s recent visit to Azerbaijan, where she was received by President Ilham Aliyev and held discussions with several senior officials.
