Nearly 100 web resources on Azerbaijani domain face cyberattacks in 2022

In 2022, 97 information resources registered in the domain zone of Azerbaijan (.az) were subjected to a cyberattack.

“34% of these web resources were coded incorrectly and insecurely, and 66% had incorrect server settings, as a result of which they were hacked. The analysis showed that despite repeated attacks on 8 of these web resources, no measures were taken to eliminate the shortcomings," Tural Mammadov, head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security (CERT), Report informs.

A study of the statistics of targeted web resources revealed that 51% of them are hosted in the United States, 15% in England, 11% in Azerbaijan, 8% in Germany, 7% in Russia, 7% in Estonia, 1% in Lithuania, according to him.
