Armenian opposition sets deadline to dethrone PM Pashinyan

26 September 2023 09:48

In a protest action in Yerevan on September 25, the Armenian opposition leaders announced October 5 as a deadline for ousting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, TASS reports.

“We must consolidate all forces so that before October 5, before Pashinyan’s meeting with Aliyev, Nikol is dismissed. Nobody knows what documents that are murderous for Armenia he is ready to sign again. We must not allow this,” said one of the leaders of the protest movement, Andranik Tevanyan.

The gathering ended with the setting of goals for the next wave of protests on September 26.

Earlier it was reported that on October 5, a meeting between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev would take place in the Spanish city of Granada.

Granada will host the European Community Summit, on the sidelines of which the two leaders have held informal meetings in the past, including in the Czech Republic and Moldova.
