Gazprom Neft stations in Moscow introduce new fuel sales limit

20 September 2026 15:20

Gazprom Neft filling stations in Moscow introduced a new limit on gasoline sales on the morning of September 20.

Customers are now allowed to purchase no more than 30 liters of gasoline per refueling, down from the previous limit of 60 liters.

The move comes after Ukraine launched a drone strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery in the Kapotnya district overnight, causing a fire at the facility.

Russian officials said the drone attack damaged one of the refinery’s structures. Local Telegram channels, meanwhile, reported that one of the facility’s key units had been knocked out of operation.

Ukraine also carried out a drone strike on the refinery on June 18 this year, resulting in a temporary suspension of its operations. The facility supplied around 40% of the Moscow region’s fuel needs.
