Israel-Hamas ceasefire regime said to last four days

    WORLD  21 November 2023 - 17:59

The ceasefire regime as part of the expected deal between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas radical movement will last four days.

“Some 50 hostages, namely, children, their mothers and, probably, elderly women, will be released as part of the deal. However, the militants may request to extend the ceasefire regime under the pretext that not all minor hostages are in one place,” Israeli Galei Tzahal army radio reports.

Hamas' raid on Oct. 7, the deadliest day in Israel's 75-year-old history, prompted Israel to invade the Palestinian territory to target Hamas.

Since then, Gaza's Hamas-run government said at least 13,300 Palestinians have been killed, including at least 5,600 children and 3,550 women, by unrelenting Israeli bombardment.

Hamas said on its Telegram account on November 20 that it had launched a barrage of missiles towards Tel Aviv. Witnesses also reported rockets being fired at central Israel.
