OSCE chief: Türkiye contributes to normalisation of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations

OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid has said that Türkiye contributes to the process of normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Türkiye's contribution to the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and its interaction with parties interested in the process is of great importance for the OSCE, Report quotes Schmid as saying.

“Turkish diplomacy regarding the grain agreement with the UN is admirable. It is essential that products and fertilizers be exported from Ukraine and transported around the world,” she said.

Schmid noted the grain deal plays a vital role in the Ukrainian economy as well.

Recalling that the OSCE has the opportunity to work with Turkish representatives in Ukraine, the secretary general noted that Türkiye’s efforts can evacuate international observers from Ukraine.

“Turkish diplomacy is one of the most professional diplomatic missions in the world. "Türkiye plays the role of a bridge between Europe and Asia," Schmid concluded.
