Flights between Russia, Türkiye to resume on May 9
Flights operated by Turkish Airlines between Russia and Türkiye are set to resume on Friday, May 9, according to Russia’s aviation authority.
Artyom Korenyako, an official spokesperson for Rosaviatsiya, confirmed the timeline in a statement issued via the organisation’s official Telegram channel, Caliber.Az reports.
He said the Federal Air Transport Agency, the Ministry of Transport, and Turkish Airlines had reached an agreement to restore the airline’s full flight schedule between the two countries.
Flights that were cancelled on May 8 will instead be operated by carriers Azur Air and SouthWind. Turkish Airlines is also exploring the possibility of adding extra flights to its May 9 schedule to accommodate affected passengers.
