President Aliyev: Games in Türkiye give impetus to strengthening Islamic solidarity

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that hosting the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in Türkiye creates additional opportunities for us.

President Aliyev made the remarks on August 9 at a meeting with athletes representing Azerbaijan at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in the Turkish city of Konya, according to Report.

The president noted that the games in Türkiye gave impetus to the strengthening of Islamic solidarity.

“And this time I am sure that our athletes will show excellent results. We already have a gold medal. I would like to congratulate the team on this occasion,” the head of state added.
