President Aliyev approves MoUs on agriculture, customs data sharing with Pakistan
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has signed two separate decrees approving memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the fields of agriculture and customs regulation.
The first memorandum outlines collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of National Food Security and Research of Pakistan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the president’s press service.
The agreement focuses on enhancing cooperation in agricultural development, knowledge exchange, and joint research initiatives.
In a parallel development, President Aliyev also approved a second memorandum of understanding between the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan and the Pakistan Customs under the Federal Board of Revenue. This agreement establishes a framework for the preliminary electronic exchange of customs information, aiming to improve efficiency, transparency, and security in cross-border trade.
Both memoranda were signed on February 24 in Baku, reflecting the deepening strategic partnership between the two countries.
