Armenia, Greece discuss strategic partnership in high-level talks
On April 22, Vice President of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan held a meeting with Ambassador of Greece to Armenia Christos Sofianopoulos to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and future cooperation between the two nations.
The talks centred on enhancing the friendly ties between Armenia and Greece, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
A key point of discussion was the expansion of parliamentary collaboration, with both parties emphasizing the importance of fostering closer political and diplomatic relations. In addition to bilateral issues, regional developments were also addressed during the meeting, reflecting the broader geopolitical concerns shared by both countries.
Earlier, special representatives of Armenia and Türkiye, Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kılıç, held a productive meeting focused on the normalisation of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The discussions took place on the sidelines of a diplomacy forum in Antalya.
“We had a good discussion on the process of normalisation of Armenia-Türkiye relations,” Rubinyan shared a post on the social media platform X, emphasising the positive tone of the talks.
The meeting marked a significant step in the ongoing efforts to restore ties between Armenia and Türkiye, which have been historically strained due to a number of geopolitical and historical issues. Both nations have shown an interest in improving their relationship, with a focus on diplomatic engagement and mutual respect for each other's interests.
