Armenia, Iran plan to build second bridge over Araz River
14 May 2024 16:45
Armenia and Iran are collaborating on a project to construct a new bridge across the Araz River.
Specialists are currently conducting a feasibility study to guide the design process, Report quotes Armenia's Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Christina Ghalechyan.
"We need to clarify the technical indicators for the bridge's construction, considering the capacity of the existing bridge," Ghalechyan stated.
The new bridge may be built parallel to the existing one, but final decisions will be made after the feasibility study determines the length, width, capacity, and other parameters of the new structure.
