Armenia, Kazakhstan explore new avenues for bilateral cooperation
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan welcomed Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev to Yerevan on an official visit, highlighting the growing trust and strong bilateral ties between the two countries.
The meeting focused on strengthening Armenia–Kazakhstan relations and exploring avenues for enhanced economic, political, and cultural cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
President Khachaturyan described the visit as a reflection of the growing trust and friendly ties between the two nations. He emphasized that high-level reciprocal visits play a vital role in invigorating political dialogue and deepening collaboration across multiple sectors.
FM Kosherbayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to expanding and diversifying cooperation with Armenia based on mutual respect and shared benefits.
During the discussions, both sides reviewed key areas of the bilateral agenda, stressing the importance of encouraging investment in infrastructure projects, strengthening business connections, and expanding trade and economic cooperation. They noted significant untapped potential that could elevate bilateral relations to a new level if fully realized.
The meeting also covered prospects for restoring direct air links, with leaders highlighting that such a step could boost people-to-people contacts, tourism, and business exchanges. The delegation exchanged views on regional development, focusing on improving communication channels, enhancing logistics efficiency, and expanding economic links.
President Khachaturyan and Minister Kosherbayev underscored that strengthening regional connectivity provides a solid foundation for sustainable development and mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan.
