Armenia says list of "offended" reveals organisers of hybrid attacks
The Armenian Prime Minister’s Office has commented on hybrid attacks targeting the country, saying the “list of the offended speaks for itself.”
Arayik Harutyunyan, head of the Prime Minister’s Office, said that the European Union had pledged support to Armenia in countering hybrid threats, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
“All countries face this problem today, and mechanisms are being developed to respond to it,” he added.
Arutyunyan also remarked that “after the EU statement, many became offended. The list of those offended clearly shows who is behind the hybrid attacks and who is being used as hybrid tools.”
In December 2025, Armenia publicly voiced concerns about hybrid threats — a blend of cyber‑attacks, disinformation campaigns and other non‑military pressures — that it says could target the country ahead of its 2026 parliamentary elections.
The issue gained prominence after the European Union pledged support to Armenia to strengthen resilience against such threats, including cyber and informational interference.
The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, said Armenia has requested help similar to that given to Moldova, where international support was provided to counter malign influence during its elections.
