Armenian blogger urges to demolish luxurious villas of Karabakh clan
Armenian journalist and blogger Roman Baghdasaryan has called for the demolition of luxurious villas of the Karabakh clan representatives in Armenia.
“Two years ago, it was said that all illegal buildings around Sevan [Goycha] Lake began to be demolished,” Caliber.Az quotes Baghdasaryan’s Telegram message as saying on August 30.
“What's the matter now? Why haven't most of them been demolished yet? This was done by [former] Minister [of Environment] Romanos Petrosyan. Among the illegal buildings are the estates of Gagik Tsarukyan and ex-minister Seyran Ohanyan, [former President Robert] Kocharyan's son and other bigwigs. Maybe first we will demolish the illegal buildings of Tsarukyan near Sevan, and then we will think about the statue of Christ. Or is there no demolition and it was a theatre?” he wrote.
According to Baghdasaryan, for 2 years, not even 3 per cent of what is considered illegal buildings on the list and must be demolished have not been broken down.
“I call for demolishing all the palaces of the rich and representatives of the Karabakh clan and not be afraid of this,” the blogger concluded.
