Armenian occupying commander explains "desertion" from Karabakh Syamo's ridiculous excuses
The former commander of the Armenian occupation contingent in Karabakh, who in 2020 posed as "secretary of the NKR Security Council" Samvel Babayan, nicknamed "Syamo", made a statement in which he rather clumsily, extremely unconvincingly tried to wash away the accusations of desertion.
To recall, Babayan is accused of realising the futility of further resistance in Karabakh at the end of the 44-day war, on November 6, he fled to Yerevan, where he stayed until November 10, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.
Babayan notes in his statement that it turns out that he did not escape from Karabakh on November 6, but "went to Yerevan on behalf of Araik Harutyunyan". At the same time, he does not report on the details of that "assignment", because, according to him, "it constitutes a state and official secret". However, Syamo does not specify that after the hasty departure-escape of the "secretary of the Security Council" to Yerevan, his example was followed by almost the entire top of the occupation regime in Karabakh.
