Azerbaijan, Pakistan forge stronger ties at joint commission session
The 8th session of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Joint Intergovernmental Commission has officially commenced in Islamabad, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The opening ceremony saw the participation of representatives from both sides, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
On the first day of the session, discussions centered on expanding cooperation across a broad spectrum of sectors, including energy, transport, trade, economy, defence, information and communication technology (ICT), digital governance, banking, tourism, sports, youth affairs, culture, science and education, health, hydrometeorology, climate change, public service delivery, social innovation, agriculture, and food security.
Both sides made notable progress in finalizing key bilateral protocols.
Secretary of Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs Sabina Qureshi emphasized the importance of the Joint Commission’s activities in further advancing Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations. She expressed confidence that these efforts would yield significant benefits in the development of strategic cooperation across various fields.
The session is expected to continue fostering closer ties and lead to enhanced collaborative projects between the two nations, paving the way for future growth in both economies.
