Azerbaijan’s Victory Day honoured at embassies worldwide photo
Solemn events were held at Azerbaijani diplomatic missions abroad and at offices of military attachés accredited in foreign countries to mark the fifth anniversary of Victory Day, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry reported to Caliber.Az.
The ceremonies were attended by employees of foreign embassies, heads of Azerbaijani diplomatic missions, military attachés, representatives of defence ministries, and other invited guests.
During the events, a minute of silence was observed in honour of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the shehids who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also performed.
Speakers highlighted the significance of Azerbaijan’s historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.
They spoke of the nation’s heroic chronicle, the valour of Azerbaijani servicemen, and the historical achievements in defending the country’s independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty.
Documentary films and video clips dedicated to the Patriotic War were screened for participants, providing a visual account of the conflict and its significance. Musical performances and literary-artistic compositions were also presented and received with great interest and appreciation by attendees.
The events served not only to commemorate Victory Day but also to showcase Azerbaijan’s national pride and the enduring spirit of its people and armed forces.
