Azerbaijani FM attends 81st session of UN General Assembly in New York

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov attended the official opening of the general debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a post on X that “the General Debate brings together world leaders and representatives of Member States to exchange views on pressing global and regional challenges and advance international cooperation in pursuit of peace, security, and sustainable development.”

The 81st session of the UN General Assembly is set to address a broad range of global issues, including international peace and security, ongoing conflicts, disarmament, sustainable development, climate change, environmental protection, human rights and humanitarian challenges.

The agenda also covers global health, economic development, international law, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, as well as efforts to strengthen multilateralism and reform the United Nations.
