Power of Unity – 2026 joint military exercise begins in Azerbaijan PHOTO / VIDEO

Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan’s military forces have held the opening ceremony of the Power of Unity – 2026 joint military exercise.

The official part of the ceremony at the Gizilgaya Training Centre in the Khojavand region began with the national anthems of the countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence.

In their speeches, the participants highlighted the importance of the exercise in strengthening cooperation between the armed forces of the participating countries, improving the practical skills of military units, sharing experience and reinforcing ties of friendship among servicemen.

They also stressed the importance of effective coordination in carrying out joint tasks and wished the participants success throughout the exercise.

The ceremony continued with a ceremonial march-past by the participating military personnel in front of the grandstand.

The event concluded with a concert programme performed by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Hazi Aslanov Army Ideological and Cultural Centre.
