Azerbaijan, Türkiye defence chiefs discuss military cooperation PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with Colonel General Sebahattin Kılınç, Head of the International Joint Strategic Command of the General Staff of Türkiye, in Baku on September 22.

According to Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry, Kılınç is visiting Azerbaijan as part of efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports.

Welcoming the Turkish delegation, Valiyev said relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are based on historical friendship, brotherhood and strategic partnership.

The two sides highlighted the role of joint military exercises involving personnel from both countries in improving professional training, facilitating the exchange of experience and further strengthening cooperation between their armed forces.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on military and military education issues, military-technical cooperation, regional security and other matters of mutual interest.
