Azerbaijan to continue unmasking France's double standards Statement by the Community of Western Azerbaijan
France’s actions, which committed genocide in Algeria, are immoral.
“The recent statements by the French president and minister for Europe and foreign affairs once again show that Paris continues demonstrating a hostile attitude towards Azerbaijan at all levels and on all platforms.
“Apparently, France, which is suppressing protests against racism through the police and losing its image amid these events, as well as suffering a shameful fiasco on the African continent, wants to win back by taking steps against Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the statement by the Western Azerbaijan Community.
“We remind the minister for Europe and foreign affairs that the actions of France, which committed genocide in Algeria, keeps the skulls of Algerian freedom fighters as war trophies in a museum in Paris, keeps territories thousands of kilometres away under colonial occupation, conducts nuclear weapons tests in the Pacific ocean, which harm the environment and various peoples, and which prohibits the Corsican language.
“The whole world knows that France does not want to establish peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, it is trying to prevent the reintegration of Armenians living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
“France must put an end to Azerbaijanophobia, Islamophobia, which are an insult to morality and international law, and stop considering issues through the prism of religious prejudice.
“The Western Azerbaijan Community will not allow France, history of which is full of genocide, colonialism and injustice, to abuse values such as human rights to veil its hate-based politics. We will continue unmasking its double standards,” the statement said.
