Azerbaijani gymnasts crowned world champions in Birmingham

For the first time in the history of Azerbaijani gymnastics, the national team has won a gold medal at the World Trampoline and Tumbling Championships held in the British city of Birmingham.

Azerbaijan became the first (168.700 points) among nine teams in the qualification of the team tournament in tumbling and reached the final, Report informs.

In the final our team (Mikhail Malkin, Tofig Aliyev, Adil Hajizade and Elnur Mammadov) scored 13 points and became the champion, ahead of Great Britain (12) and Denmark (8).
